Spring + 7 Good Things

Happy Spring!  I know it has been a while but I’m back and I have so many new ideas on what posts I’m going to create. Life has been stressful lately, however,  I think this summer will make up for it : ) Here are 7 good things.

1.It’s spring! This is my favorite season because I love how good the sun feels after you’ve been wrapped up all winter. Plus everything is blooming and I love looking at all the flowers.  I’ve switched my winter wardrobe out for spring clothes and couldn’t be happier. Above are some little spring updates I did to my dorm.

2. Because it’s spring I get to pull out my favorite romper by Zimmerman (above!) This is my absolute favorite outfit because of the ruffles, floral print, and how feminine it is.

3. Next weekend I’m going to Vegfest in Nashville. Of course, this was Isabel’s idea. Even though I’m not vegetarian or vegan, I’m still super excited about it. I love the idea of plant based eating and learning about the health benefits.

4. My room is slowly coming together but I still need a couple pieces of furniture. Here’s a sneak peak above.

5. Ed Sheeran’s new album is out and it is amazing. It changes every week, but my favorite song right now from his album is “Hearts Don’t Break Around Here.” What’s even more exciting is that my friend April and I are going to his concert in October!

6.I’m reading this really good book right now called, “Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health and Happiness.” My sister recommended this and I’ve heard lots of people talk about it before. I really like self-improvement books and I once read somewhere that the average millionaire reads one non-fiction a month.

7. I saved the best for last: I’m going to be in Italy almost all summer!!!!!!!! (more details as to why and where later) I’ve been to London, Paris, and Rome once on a school trip 3 years ago but we went to all of the typical touristy places. I can’t wait to blog about all my experiences and eat tons of gelato.

As always, thanks for reading! I especially want to thank the people who have come up to me and said they liked my blog. It means more than you know and makes my day.

P.S. Think of 7 good things in your life today.

4 Makeup Favorites

Eye Palette: Chanel | Lipstick: Chanel | Face Cream: Bobbi Brown | Shimmer Brick: Bobbi Brown

I recently purchased a lot of new makeup products to freshen up my look for 2017 and these are four of my favorites. I have been using these almost every single day! The Chanel palette is from their new spring  collection and the colors are beautiful. This is probably one of my favorite eye palettes I’ve ever had. I’m just mediocre when it comes to doing my makeup so I like to follow the little guidebook the palette comes with. It shows you how to complete different looks and always turns out better than I expect it to. I can never have enough lipsticks so I also purchased a Chanel lipstick  called “Edith” and am really loving this bright pink color. Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Face Cream is so moisturizing that I feel like (or at least hope) that I will never get any wrinkles.

One of my favorite things to do is to enter really crazy contests that I have little to no chance of winning. You know the ones that say “Win a Trip to Hawaii” and various other ones on social media. I’m really optimistic about winning and my family makes fun of me for it. I entered a Bobbi Brown Instagram contest  over Christmas break  and actually won!!! I was so excited and had to tell everyone I knew. Bobbi Brown sent me the shimmer brick above and it has become one of my favorite things. It is now on sale because it was a holiday edition.

On another note, I’m back at school prolonging math homework and daydreaming about the exciting summer I have ahead.

Cozy

Cardigan: Anthropologie | Shoes: New Balance | Socks: Free People (Similar)

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! My Christmas was spent in red and white striped pajamas trying to figure out how to use my present and eating all my Christmas candy. My siblings got this motorcycle type thing that I attempted to ride, but on my first try I got too excited and went straight into the woods lol. Luckily, it stopped itself and I came out with only a few scratches on my hand. My dad and siblings thought it was hilarious. My second try went much better.

This is one of my newest finds and I love it so much. It makes lazy day clothes look good and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn this. New Balance is my favorite brand of tennis shoes because they’re so comfortable as well as really stylish. The Free People socks I’m wearing are just as cozy as the sweater. My sister and I are obsessed with them and want to have every color/ pattern. I put together my bedding yesterday and I’m SO happy with how it turned out. However, my  mirror and wallpaper still need to be hung. I also need to find a big bookcase and a vanity piece to go below my mirror. I can’t wait for my vision to come together. I will be posting an inspiration board soon.

Skinny Scarves

Top: Free People | Scarf: Free People (Sold Out- Similar) | Coat: Anthropologie | Boots: Same Edelman

I think skinny scarves are such a cool trend for Fall/Winter. I’m in love with the print on this one and apparently a lot of other people were too because it was backordered for a month. This particular style is sold out but I linked a similar one that would be great for winter. I have also been obsessed with the bodysuit trend because they’re so easy and comfortable and you don’t have to worry about tucking your shirt in.

We are all moved in to our new house but we still have tons of unpacking to do. The only thing I have built in my room right now is my bed (which is GORGEOUS.) I’m also really excited about my mirror and can’t wait to open it. I will post pictures of the house sometime next week.
