Festival with My Sisters

Shirt: Wildfox | Shorts: Levi’s | Shoes: Converse

A couple weekends ago I went home to visit my family and my hometown was having a festival. Isabel and I took the girls + Collin (who didn’t want to be in any of the pictures, but he is the one holding the funnel cake.) When we went to go buy the tickets for the rides I got to the counter and one of the women selling the tickets said, ” you have to be 18 to buy the tickets” and I said “I’m actually 19.” She looked kind of embarrassed and said she thought I was 15 or 16, then continued to state that I’ll appreciate it when I’m older. I didn’t mean for people to take my shirt literally haha. Just joking, but really this happens to me all the time. I  honestly can’t see it but I blame it on the high cheek bones or my ritualistic obsession with moisturizing.

We went on tons of rides and got to go into a mini petting zoo. The petting zoo was my favorite because Abbie and Lilly were chasing the piglets around trying to pick them up and it was hilarious to watch. Lilly was especially proud when she picked up the baby goat.  After that, we went to go see my dad play music on the stage with his friends. Then the kids ate enough food to feed an army including: pizza, ice cream, snow cones, funnel cake, alligator on a stick ( if you know my family well I bet you can guess who got that one,) and lemonade. By the time we left Isabel and I were exhausted. The first thing Isabel did when she got home is make herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (typical) because she couldn’t eat most of the food at the festival due to dietary restrictions. We had a really good time though and I love coming home and seeing all of my siblings.

I am obsessed with the shirt I am wearing and it’s another Wildfox piece. Their clothing is so relatable and fun. I can’t get enough. Also, Isabel isn’t in any of these pictures because she kindly agreed to take them for me. I’m going home in a few weeks and plan on doing a post about my sisters.

Shirt: Wildfox | Jeans: Paige | Shoes: Converse | Eyeshadow: MAC

How cute is this shirt? If you’ve never heard of Wildfox before you need to click on the link above and checkout their website! I discovered this brand in the 10th grade and have since fallen in love with it. It is a clothing line based out of LA that has really unique vintage t-shirts with the cutest sayings on them. I have never purchased a Wildfox shirt that has not been crazy comfortable. Also, I love Paige Jeans!! They are so soft.

This shirt describes me perfectly because I used to try a lot of fad diets and would follow one for a month or so then quit. What works for me now is eating generally healthy everyday. Though, on the weekends I indulge a little (as long as it’s gluten free.) Today my choice was a huge burger on a GF bun and the ice-cream you see above. I think bad food tastes so much better if you have it every once and a while.

Let me know what you think about Wildfox and what you like from there!

Calvin Klein

Shirt: Calvin Klein | Shorts: Levi’s | Shoes: Birkenstocks | Handbag: Burberry

This is the outfit I wore yesterday! I love how classic this shirt is and the material is really soft. I think Calvin Klein is such a great brand and this outfit is so easy, especially if you don’t have a lot of time in the morning. I haven’t had a lot of free time this week because of tests and needed to wear something effortless like this outfit. If you buy this shirt without trying it on I definitely recommend going a size up. Happy Friday!

Favorite Snacks

I am sharing some of my favorite snacks today. My family typically tries to snack on healthy foods, except we have a serious love for chocolate- as you can see. We go to places like Whole Foods or Earth Fare to get most of these items but you can also find some of them at Target and Krogers.

Let’s start with the most important thing- CHOCOLATE! Justin’s peanut butter cups are amazing! They are a better alternative to Reese’s and are organic. I honestly think they taste better too. Isabel prefers the dark chocolate ones but milk chocolate is my favorite. My mom, Isabel, and I can’t get enough of Alter Eco Salted Caramel Truffles. We always have them in our house.

Bars are a great to carry around throughout the day  and our favorites are That’s it., LARABAR,  PB & J Bar,and goodness knows. That’s it bars are really cool because the only ingredients in them are the two fruits. We also love to eat dried fruits because they keep for a while and have so much flavor. The dried blueberries in this picture are from Stoneridge Orchards but we also love the brand called Peeled.

My favorite snack is definitely the wild berry sprouted trail mix by Living Intentions. This is something you must try!!! I used to think that I didn’t like trail mix until I tried this one. There’s all types of nutritious berries in this mix and they taste so good. The golden berries inside are the best! Other good snacks are Go Raw cookies and Boom Chicka Pop popcorn. We also eat things like apples and  all natural peanut butter among various other fruits for snacks. Let me know of other good snacks I should try!

Windy Day Kimono

Dress: Ted Baker  (bought in April – now on sale)| Kimono: Anthropologie | Sandals: Dr. Scholl’s

A few weeks ago I wore this dress by Ted Baker. I recently discovered this brand and have fallen in love with the unique designs and patterns. I paired it with this light floral print kimono from Anthropologie.  Kimonos are really on trend right now and at first I wasn’t crazy about them, until I saw this piece. The floral pattern is gorgeous and the fabric is part velvet so it is extremely soft! I had to have it. This kimono is light and airy making it perfect for the end of summer and transitioning into fall. I also wore these platform sandals by Dr Scholl’s and they are the most comfortable pair of sandals I have. Even after standing all day in them my feet were fine. They are a really good price for how cute and comfortable they are. Comment below if you’ve found other really great kimonos somewhere or if you like/dislike the trend.
