Celebrations in Cinque Terre, Italy

February 5, 2020

Cinque Terre brings back the best memories for me. It was the weekend of my 20th birthday when I first set eyes on the colorful town of Manarola. Katie and Sara, the girls that would soon become some of my best friends, had traveled by train with me to this little coast-side village. We spent our days basking in the sun, jumping off the rocky cliffs, and eating seafood. We even got to take a boat ride and see all of the five towns from the boat. Our Airbnb resembled that of a cave but we loved it and had amazing sunset views while drinking wine. After dark, we went to a beachside club to dance and didn’t get home until 6 am the next morning. I am so grateful for these memories and my friendships with these girls. I hope that one day we’ll get to reunite in Cinque Terre.

P.S. Since my first visit to Cinque Terre, I have been back and have gotten to explore the other villages a little more. However, Manarola is still my favorite and I highly recommend staying there.
